How early should I arrive?
Arriving 5-10 minutes before your appointment time is the perfect time to arrive. This allows me to ask any questions and do a little interview before each session to see what you’re looking for today and we can get started with your massage within just a few minutes of your scheduled appointment time. Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes early for your appointment unless given permission by the therapist beforehand. Although I try to schedule ample time between sessions, late arrivals may result in a shortened session to remain respectful of other client’s appointment times. Full session pricing still applies if the session has to be cut short.
Cancellation / No show policy:
Life happens and schedules change or sometimes gets thrown off. I get that. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please do so with reasonable notice. No shows or repeat rescheduling may require a nonrefundable deposit before booking future sessions. This helps ensure that time, preparation, and studio resources are respected.
How long should I book for?
That depends entirely on your budget and goals. Those looking for deeper and comprehensive work across multiple areas of the body, a longer session is recommended. This allows enough time to properly address issues without feeling rushed. Those looking for lighter pressure or only specific areas worked on (such as neck and shoulders), a shorter session is a great option. Feel free to reach out if you’re unsure about a session length and we can go over it together.
Headaches / Migraines Treatment:
Massage can help greatly reduce tension that manifests as headaches. Before the session begins, we will review your pain patterns to identify the sources of your headaches and treat the underlying areas contributing to them. By engaging trigger points that refer pain into the head, we can help the muscle relax and reduce headache symptoms long term and bring noticeable relief.
What can I expect from my first visit?
On your first visit, you can expect to meet in the office room right next to the massage room to fill out an intake form. Here, we will discuss your goals, pain points, and health history. After discussing what your goals for the sessions are, we will discuss the massage technique and what to expect to feel with your time on the table. Afterwards, we will go over my findings and what I believe is best for your health moving forward. I’d be happy to answer any questions or recommend exercises that are most beneficial to help whatever pain you are dealing with. Sessions are always collaborative and feedback is welcome at anytime.
What should I wear?
Wear whatever makes you comfortable. Clients are given the decision to undress to their comfort level, there is no judgement in undressing all the way down or remaining partially / fully clothed. During the session, you will be properly draped to only expose the areas I will be working on and remain covered in all other areas. Massage techniques can be adapted based on what you’re comfortable wearing. Your comfort, privacy, and sense of safety are always respected.
How often should I get massage therapy?
This depends on your goals:
-Acute pain or injury: weekly or bi-weekly to help jump start the healing process.
-Chronic tension or postural issues: bi-weekly to monthly to consistently work the muscles back to their normal tension
-General maintenance or stress relief: monthly
Recommendations are offered, never pressured.
Do I need to tip?
Tipping is always appreciated but never expected or required. Services at Raffi’s Rehab are priced to reflect professional, therapeutic care. Many clients choose to tip if they feel the session was beneficial, but the best compliment is your continued trust and care.
